Society Architecture Collective led the complete reinvention of the Newport Beach Marriott into VEA Newport Beach, A Marriott Resort & Spa—a transformation that reshaped one of Southern California's most beloved coastal destinations. Reimagined guest rooms, luxury suites, and striking public spaces defined by sculptural glass, dark walnut, and polished marble create an unrecognizable yet authentically grounded resort. A dramatic open-air arrival with a circular water feature sets the tone, while public spaces invite genuine gathering and connection.

The Edge Bar
Cantilevering over the golf course and anchoring the pool, The Edge Bar maximizes ocean views with a chic, high-energy atmosphere. An overhead LED screen provides distinctive identity, while the layout encourages seamless flow between bar, terraces, and poolside areas.
Reveal Lounge
Transformed from a coffee shop, Reveal offers sophisticated intimacy with plush seating, metal accents, and a moody palette. The layout accommodates cozy corner seating, date night tables, and social bar seating for crafted cocktails and elevated bites.
View Restaurant & Lanai
The signature restaurant infills an outlook atrium, creating two floors of refined dining space. A prominent skylight, coastal materials, and sculptural lighting juxtapose indoor dining with outdoor views. The lanai extends the experience outward with sweeping vistas and sophisticated social gathering.
