For over 30 years, Richstone Family Center has served the community in the fight against child abuse. To meet growing demand for services, Society Architecture Collective designed a compassionate 5,700 SF expansion with strong residential character and scale. The addition creates a comforting environment where children and families can heal. New buildings frame a central grass courtyard anchored by a play structure and amphitheater for community gathering. The project also renovated the lobby, offices, and teaching kitchen, creating unified spaces that support the center's mission. The expansion received the Everychild Foundation Award, providing the essential funding to realize this vital community resource.
