Society Architecture Collective transformed an existing OSHPD-3 primary care facility to expand critical medical services while maintaining seamless operational continuity. The challenge was substantial: adding a new elevator and stairwell to access the second floor, creating a new patient entry lobby, and expanding essential services all within a confined site and without disrupting existing parking or accessible access. Rather than compromise functionality, the design team leveraged the building's existing offset footprint to create an efficient addition with minimal site impact. The result is a thoughtfully conceived expansion that strengthens the facility's capacity to serve patients while respecting operational constraints and the surrounding community.
